Local Man Faces OUI Charge Following Crash

Thursday, Jan. 2

12:20 p.m., a Fed-Ex truck reportedly hit a stone wall at a Pinecliff Drive residence. A tow truck was called to help free the truck.

3:08 p.m., a plow truck operator needed a vehicle moved on Sewall Street.

3:10 p.m., a car hit a pole at Pleasant Street and Gerry Street. The driver did not want medical attention. A tow truck was needed. The electric company was notified and responded to the scene.

3:44 p.m., a fall with injuries was reported at a Pleasant Street location. The person fell while climbing stairs. Residential management personnel were to salt the stairs at the location.

6:07 p.m., a Hawkes Street caller said he was threatened by a neighbor. 

Friday, Jan. 3

3:41 a.m., a Washington Street vehicle was towed. It was parked four feet from the curb and the owner did not respond in a timely manner to a request to move it.

8:02 a.m., a Bessom Street caller reported fraud.

8:08 a.m., a caller reported that a utility pole was snapped in two at Pleasant Street and Baldwin Road. Verizon was to repair or replace the pole.

1:15 p.m., a domestic issue was reported on Creesy Street. A caller reported a neighbor was yelling at and abusing her son.

4:33 p.m., a driver slid into a snow bank. The vehicle was shoveled out and the driver was on her way.

8:58 p.m., a caller reported a motor vehicle crash at Pleasant Street and Rockaway Street. No injury was reported. A vehicle struck a Verizon pole and a parked car. Police charged John Paige, 56, of 293 Ocean Avenue with OUI liquor, negligent operation of a vehicle and possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

11:45 p.m., a Beverly Street caller reported that she was raped and that her mother was raped five years ago. Police responded to the residence. Services were rendered. No further information available.
