House Painter Won't Take No For An Answer

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

  • 11:46 a.m., a Salem police officer requested that local police have a Marblehead resident at a Front Street address call him regarding a $600 bill she owes a Salem veterinarian's office. The message was relayed and the resident said she would call the Salem police officer.
  • 12:08 p.m., a Franklin Street resident walked in to the station and reported that a neighbor's car was blocking part of the resident's driveway, and they are having a Dumpster delivered the next day. Police called the neighbor and she agreed to have the car moved.
  • 1:45 p.m., a Chrylser PT Cruiser and Ford pick-up truck got into an accident on Pleasant Street. No injuries were reported. The parties were reportedly out of their vehicles yelling at each other about who was at fault.
  • 5:04 p.m., a caller reported three men were smoking pot in the open on State Street.
  • 5:09 p.m., police received a call from a Pearl Street resident who said "that a man tried to make a deal with her to paint her house. She told him that she wasn't interested. Shortly after, he returned with cans of paint and told her that he was leaving the paint in the back yard and would start painting. She again told him that she wasn't interested and she has someone else painting for her. The man then told her that he was going to put a lien on her house. She is 85 years old and was intimidated by him. She also stated that she made no agreement and has no contract with him." She was advised to contact police if he returns. The caller said the painter was "Sean" from Preserve Painting. 
Wednesday, Oct. 2
  • 3:52 a.m., police received a call from a Maple Street caller who said a man was carrying a long bag and there was possibly a rifle inside. Officers searched the area but did not find anyone there.
  • 5:20 a.m., a Tedesco Street caller reported loud noises coming from the country club at 4 a.m.
