Hit and Runs and Other Road Troubles

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.


Thursday, Aug. 1

  • At 9:14 a.m., a motorist was given a ticket for running a red light and came close to hitting the detail officer on Pleasant Street.
  • At 10:11 a.m., a hit and run was reported on Smith Street.
  • At 12:05 p.m., a hit and run was reported on Pleasant Street.
  • At 12:56 p.m., two boys on bicycles collided on Ocean Avenue on the causeway. Both children's parents were called to the scene. 
  • At 6:43 p.m., a bicyclist reported that he was traveling Maple Street and either struck or was struck by an unidentified car.
Friday, Aug. 2
  • At 00:46 a.m., loud neighbors were reported on Washington St.
  • At 9:51 a.m., house, motor vehicle and other keys were found in the Village Plaza parking lot at the corner of Bessom.
  • At 2:28 p.m., an Atlantic Avenue caller said he was seeking a way to have his son, in his 20s, removed from the house for not abiding by the house rules. The father said he did not need assistance but would call back if he did.
  • At 3:26 p.m., police charged William Reisopoulos, 49, 23 Mallard Way, Marblehead, MA with violation of an abuse prevention order.
  • At 4:42 p.m., a person reported her window boxes had been stolen from a Washington Street location.
