Green Street Man Charged With Assault and Property Destruction

The following information was submitted by the Marblehead Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

8:37 a.m., a West Shore Drive resident arrived home to find the front door wide open. An officer responded to the home. Everything appeared to be in order.

9:23 a.m., police received a report of a red van traveling an estimated 60 mph on Highland Terrace. The person who reported the incident said the motorist appeared to be under the influence. The vehicle was gone upon police's arrival.

9:32 a.m., a caller reported losing a gold pinky ring engraved with the initials MSR.

10:19 a Sargent Road caller reported a gaping hole where a Comcast line comes out of the ground. Comcast was notified.

1:50 p.m., an Ocean Avenue man who was intoxicated was transported to the hospital.

3:16 p.m., a walk-in to the police station reported that items were stolen from her daughter at school, on Humphrey Street.

5:51 p.m., dispatch received multiple reports that roads were icing, among them Bubier, Stonybrook and Gerry.

10:26 p.m., police received a report of a Green Street man who appeared to be out of control, having smashed a television outside and thrown things around.
Police charged Michael B. Farrell, 23, of 183 Green St., Marblehead with assault (domestic violence) and malicious destruction of property.
