Garbage Tossing Youth and a Paint Job

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, July 22

  • At 9:11 a.m., a 29-year-old female employee at a Lafayette Street fell down in the break room. Another employee said that after standing up she was bleeding though conscious and alert. The woman was transported to the hospital.
  • At 10:58 a.m., a Thompson Road caller reported that a laptop was missing, taken from the home some time during the night while she and her husband were sleeping. There was change on the floor and items in disarray around the house.
  • At 12:50 p.m., a caller reported losing a gold necklace while walking her dog by the park, possibly by Front or Washington Street.
  • At 2:03 p.m., a restraining order was served on Pleasant Street.
  • At 4:29 p.m., a Franklin Street caller said a man painted white lines in the street in front of his house and on the curb to widen the area for him and his tenants. The anonymous caller said she didn’t think it was right for him to do that. It turned out the man had touched up previously painted areas because he was tried of people blocking his driveway.
  • At 8:36 p.m., a Naugus Avenue caller reported that about 10 youth went into her garage and deposited trash there. She was afraid they might come back and do damage because her husband confronted them. Police spoke to the group. They said one of them went into the garage to throw something away. The kids were moved along.
