Former Marblehead Lawyer Indicted on Bank, Tax Fraud Charges

A former Marblehead attorney is now facing bank and federal tax fraud charges in federal court after it was discovered he filed a host of fraudulent paperwork, according to an article in the Salem News.

John McBride, a Marblehead attorney who was disbarred 8 years ago, made a recent appearance in US District Court and will be back in September. 

McBride is being accused of filing false paperwork to release the liens on a home in Marblehead and Edgartown. He then obtained mortgages on both properties.
