Firefighters Get Trained on New Ladder Truck

Crews received in-house and field training last week on the newly arrived 100-foot quint ladder truck.

Fire crews got classroom and field experience on the new quint ladder truck, a $1.2 million truck recently delivered by Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisc.

The truck was fitted out to meet the department's needs.

The name "quint" means five, and refers to the five functions that a quint provides: pump, water tank, fire hose, aerial ladder and ground ladders.
