Dog Walker Followed in the Night

Saturday, Jan. 18

9:17 a.m., a walk-in to the police station turned in a laptop found at the beach.

2:52 p.m., a 75-year-old woman fell in front of a store on Atlantic Avenue and she was bleeding. She was transported to Salem Hospital.

3:20 p.m., dry cleaning was stolen on Leo Road.

7:09 p.m., a caller reported falling the day before at the Spring Street and Sewall Street intersection. She said that a vehicle went dirctly around her, without stopping, after she fell.

Sunday, Jan. 19

1:23 a.m., a dog walker reported that a man was following her on Washington Street. When she turned to look at him he ran up the hill towards Abbot Hall. She described him as being of medium build and medium height and wearing a dark jacket and dark pants. He had dark hair and was not wearing a hat, and was holding something in his hand, something smaller than a briefcase. The woman said the incident was only 30 seconds old when she called it in and the man was on a dead run up Washington. Police checked the area but did not see the man there.
