Car Breaking & Entering Attempt Reported

Sunday, Jan. 26

10:47 a.m., a caller reported an illegally parked vanhat was making it difficult for motorists to get out of Ferry Lane.

7:16 p.m., a caller reported a twisted stop sign at Washington Street and School Street. The sign was on a barrel. The barrel appeared to be turned around.

Monday, January 27

00:44 a.m., a caller reported to Swampscott police that he just saw a possible breaking and entering to a car in progress. The caller said the two males fled and jumped a fence and were headed towards Mostyn Street. Swampscott police asked Marblehead police for assistance. Marblehead police made contact with the two males, juveniles. Swampscott police arrived with the witness, and met with Marblehead police and the juveniles. Police later drove the juveniles home.

7:35 a.m., a caller reported that someone had struck and damaged the veterans pole on the causeway.
