Caller Reports Possible Afterschool Drug Sales
The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Sept. 23
- 7:53 a.m., police received a report that a wire was down by the traffic light at Maple Street and Tedesco Street.
- 8:54 a.m., a Clifton Heights Lane caller reported that an antique clock, furniture and silver were taken from his house.
- 1:27 p.m., three men were passing out Bibles in front of the Middle School. Police were in the area in case anything happened.
- 3:09 p.m., police, fire and ambulance responded to a motor vehicle crash on West Shore Drive.
- 3:36 p.m., a caller reported possible illegal drug activity in the Smith Street area. A "caller states that she has seen several times male (teens) dealing what appears to be 94C activities. She stated that it ususally is a heavy set kid and a shorter skinnier male with blonde hair. She said that it happens everyday after school and her son has been asked while walking home from school if he wants "bud". She also stated that the male parties will stay and several kids will be come up to them in the course of the afternoon and they will dart in and out of the bushes to do "deals".
- 4:33 p.m., a caller from Broughton Road requested transport toa detoxification center.
- 5:37 p.m., a Front Street ex-wife sought a well-being check on her ex-husband. The man was transported to Salem Hospital.
