Angry Neighbors and a Found Kayak

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

  • At 8:17 a.m., a bicyclist was reportedly hit by a vehicle on Lafayette Street. Emergency medical services were cancelled as they were deemed not necessary. 
  • At 8:39 a.m., a Watson Street caller reported finding the bumper to her car on the ground, a result of a past motor vehicle accident. It was unknown when it happened.
  • At 12:02 p.m., a worker fell from a ladder on Pleasant Street. The man was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital. OSHA was called to the scene — at the Warwick Building.
  • At 1:46 p.m., a caller reported that an 80-year-old woman had fallen aboard a boat and injured her knee. The patient was transported to Salem Hospital.
  • At 4:10 p.m., a motor vehicle was repossessed on Beacon Street.
  • At 10:20 p.m., police received a report of a woman in the roadway at Lafayette Street and Maple Street and yelling at traffic. Her husband was about 100 yards ahead of her and walking. He got control of his wife and they walked to Salem.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
  • At 8:48 a.m., a caller at Stramski Way reported finding a" blue Fusion 124 kayak floating near his boat with a lifejacket and paddle still in it. He is going to leave it at the top of the steps at Stramskis."
  • At 12:08 p.m., a caller reported that someone had dumped a lot of cardboard boxes in an Atlantic Avenue lot overnight.
  • At 8:56 p.m., police received a report of an argument taking place, a domestic situation, at a Phillips Street residence.
  • at 9:09 p.m., a West Shore Drive caller reported a next door neighbor came to his door, banged loudly and yelled and swore at him and told him to move his two cars from the neighbor's property.
