An Indecent Assault and an OUI

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 4

  • At 1:33 a.m., stop sign graffiti was reported on Tioga Way.
  • At 6:08 a.m., a Washington Street caller said his ex-wife was banging on the door and threatening to kill him. An emergency restraining order was filed.
  • At 10:53 a.m., a wallet with cash in it was found on Pleasant Street in the parking lot behind the National Grand Bank.
  • At 12:08 p.m., police received a report from Gingerbread Hill Road about a neighbor having a cannon with a charge in it that is five-times what is allowable. Police spoke to the cannon’s owner and he agreed to shut it down for the day.
  • At 6:44 p.m., police received a report of people aboard a Grady White vessel who were throwing a woman into the water. The caller was said to be concerned about the boaters drinking.
  • At 8:11 p.m., police charged Peter Woodford, 50, 2281 Quinn Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia with indecent assault on a person 14 or older.
  • At 8:36 p.m., police charged Pamela Barton, 46, of 256 Ocean Avenue, Marblehead with OUI, liquor and marked lane violations.
  • At 9:34 p.m., fire and police responded to a report that a man had fallen from a cliff into Marblehead Harbor. Multiple firefighters went into the water and the man was placed in an ambulance.
  • At 10:12 p.m., a third party reported that a drunk woman walked into a house on Goodwins Court. 

Friday, July 5

  • At 1:56 a.m., police received a report of a male screaming obscenities in the street on Harbor View Lane. The dispatcher could hear the person screaming in the background of the call.  Police responded and transported the person back to to his parents’ home.
  • At 7:48 a.m., a person on Front Street found money and cards while out walking. A message was left for the owner and the owner picked up the items.
  • At 9:20 a.m., police found a youth out walking and returned him to his home on Roosevelt Avenue.
  • At 3:36 p.m., police received a report of cars not stopping for pedestrians in a crosswalk on Atlantic Avenue.
  • At 10:20 p.m., a car was struck by eggs on the causeway.
  • At 10:31 p.m., police received a report of a young couple yelling at each other while they were walking at Washington Street and Rockaway Street.
  • At 10:34 p.m., a car was hit by eggs at West Shore Drive. A woman chased the egg throwers down the tracks and lost them towards Salem. Two kids were seen running back towards Marblehead from Salem.

Saturday, July 6

  • At 00:18 a.m., police responded to a report of people being loud on Front Street and refusing to leave. Police reported that there were males who were possibly drunk and on an overloaded zodiac craft bound for another boat with sleeping quarters.
  • At 1:04 a.m., police received a report of a man hanging off a street sign at Pleasant Street and Washington Street.
  • At 7:39 a.m., a caller reported that a door was pried open on Doaks Lane. All the offices remained locked.
  • At 8:41 a.m., an overnight hit and run was reported on Washington Street.
  • At 9:18 a.m., a Rowland Street caller reported finding his father on the floor not breathing and unresponsive. The medical examiner and Eustis and Cornell were notified.
  • At 10:10 a.m., a boater discovered his dinghy is missing. It is a 9-foot inflatable Mercury dinghy with a 5 horsepower Suzuki motor.
  • At 12:27 p.m., a motor vehicle crash was reported at Atlantic Avenue. Two cars were involved and their airbags deployed. The 2008 Toyota Corolla and the 2010 Honda Civic were towed from the scene. Patients refused treatment.
  • At 1:10 p.m., a motor vehicle crash was reported at Tedesco Street and Humphrey Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 4:35 p.m., a woman reported receiving threatening text messages.
