A Reported Heroin Overdose and a Tip on Stolen Lobsters

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 18

  • At 7:55 a.m., police received a report that Verizon Droid phone was lost by Tedesco Street two days ago.
  • At 8:28 a.m., a woman flel from a bike after striking a water gate in the street at Atlantic Avenue and Clifton Heights Lane. The bicyclist was not transported to the hospital.
  • At 9:19 a.m., a Lee Street caller said he could not get out of his driveway because a Verizon truck and others were blocking his way out. Police contacted the Verizon truck operator and others. It was to be moved.
  • 11:20 a.m., Swampscott police notified Marblehead that more than $1,000 in lobsters were stolen from Swampscott Harbor. The harbormaster was also made aware of the report.
  • At 3:10 p.m., police received a report indicating it was hard for motorists to see when they exited Waterside Road because vans were parked on West Shore Drive.
  • At 9:46 p.m., police received a report of an unresponsive male, a possible heroin overdose at a Market Square location. The person was transported to Salem Hospital, the emergency room. The caller related that she found heroin on the individual days earlier and flushed it down the toilet. The patient reportedly said he did not want to be treated and left the hospital.
