A Creep Out on Tidewinds Terrace

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, July 16

  • At 1:46 a.m., police received a call from Jersey Street father who said his son was intoxicated and he would like him looked at. 
  • At 11:13 a.m., a Lincoln Park condo owner came to the station and reported that a strong odor of urethane was coming from next door. The condo owner thought the situation may be unhealthy. Police suggested that the person contact the Board of Health.
  • At 2:09 p.m., a caller reported that six cars were parked illegally on Atlantic Avenue and that the parking could make it dangerous for anyone crossing the street in the crosswalk.

Wednesday, July 17

  • At 9:38 a.m., police received a report from Reed Street about a motor vehicle break-in. It appeared the rear window was pried open. Items were missing from the car.
  • At 12:23 p.m., police received a report from a Washington Street bank that they received a counterfeit bill.
  • At 2:14 p.m, police received a report of an erratic driver at Atlantic Avenue and Hawkes Street. The driver was reportedly speeding and the vehicle almost hit another car and a pedestrian.
  • At 7:54 p.m., a caller reported that a vehicle regularly speeds on Tidewinds Terrace. The caller said she hollered at the driver to slow down. Moments later a man showed up at her house claiming to be in the military and to be a friend of the person who was driving the car she hollered at. The man said he wanted to resolve the issue and the woman got “creeped out” and told him to leave. Police spoke to the driver of the vehicle and were going to speak to the woman who issued the complaint.
  • At 8:57 p.m., police received a report of credit card fraud on Lafayette Street.
