Marblehead 22-Year-Old and Swampscott Teen Charged With OUI

Thursday, Dec. 19

7:48 a.m., police received a call about a parent who carries knife into a school on Elm Street. Police spoke to the parent. He carries a 3- to 4-inch folding knife in his front pocket.

8:57 a.m., a 5-year-old girl on Washington Street was transported to the hospital after she drank a 3-ounce bottle of cough syrup.

1:26 p.m., a minor accident was reported on Tedesco Street.

1:40 p.m., a wallet was reportedly stolen from a high school classroom.

Friday, Dec. 20

00:20 a.m., a 90-year-old woman was injured from a fall at a Peach Highlands residence. She was transported to the hospital.

10:55 a.m., a 15-month-old was transported to the hospital for injuries after a fall.

11:19 a.m., a motor vehicle was repossessed on Humphrey Street.

1:32 p.m., police received a call about an elderly man who was walking on Lafayette Street and appeared to need assistance. The man's son was notified. He was to go to the scene. The man had apparently wandered from his home. The Council On Aging was notified of the situation.

2:12 p.m., The Riptide called the Council On Aging and reported that an older man was filthy and had soiled himself. The Riptide gave him a ride home. Police received a call from the Council and checked on the man at his residence. He was complaining of weakness and was transported to the hospital.

4:11 p.m., police arrested Fahad Wardi, 11 Cressy St., Apt. 3, Marblehead, on an outstanding non-Marblehead warrant.

5:50 p.m., police received a report of a drunk male stumbling around with a bottle of alcohol on Pleasant Street. It was a juvenile. He was located by Village Plaza. The 17-year-old was charged with possession of alcohol and shoplifting. Authorities were unable to reach the boy's mother. A Division of Youth Services worker took custody of the juvenile.

8:45 p.m., police received a report that a white pick-up truck had side-swiped parked cars on Pleasant Street and was headed towards Salem. Police stopped the vehicle and charged Samuel Snow, 22, 3 Cloutmans Lane, Marblehead with OUI liquor, failure to stop or yield and leaving the scene of an accident.

Saturday, Dec. 21

1:03 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Ocean Avenue. Police charged Cathryn Singley, 18, of 21 Prospect Ave., Swampscott with OUI liquor, speeding and marked lanes violations.
