Car Stickered in Village Plaza
OK, so....today I went to Village Plaza to stop into the Drug store, and then drove over to the other lot by the Liquor store to pick up wine. After I parked, I decided to stop into another establishment first, which apparently is not a Village Plaza tenant (which I didn't know). As I walked 50 feet past the Liquor store to stop in at the other location, there was a man glaring at me, but he didn't say anything. When I came out and walked back to go into the Liquor I noticed I had a big bright orange sticker on my driver side rear window, telling me the parking was for Village Plaza only. I talked to a few people afterward, and found out that the man silently glaring at me was the person who monitors the lot and placed the sticker. Of course now I can't get the sticker off. What I don't understand is why he didn't SAY something as I walked by him, and why he doesn't put a big orange flyer under the windshield wipers like a meter maid would. Sticking it on the window seems like vandalism to me. I contact the MPD and they did not see it that way, but then I heard that this man is a former police officer, so hmmm. I also called MR Rockett Management and suggested that the man use flyers instead of stickers. Doubt that will happen, but I felt I needed to be heard. I realize we have parking issues in town, especially in winter....but the kicker is, the lot I was in was only a 1/4 full at the time....and the other establishment had a free parking spot right out front, but since I was going to stop in at a 'ok to park here' store afterwards, I just...parked where I parked. As I mentioned, if he had bothered to speak to me, instead of glaring at me, I would have moved the vehicle once I found that I shouldn't have parked there to walk 50 feet to another business, then back to a business where parking where I did was OK to do. Thanks for letting me vent, and wish me luck in my sticker removal.
