Mason Nicholas Silva, loving son of Kevin and Alissa (Collins) Silva, passed peacefully in his mothers arms at Boston Children’s Hospital on April 28, 2014, twenty three days after his first birthday following a 7 month battle with leukemia.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents Karen (Marengi) Collins of Salem and Richard Collins of Salem; his paternal grandparents, Nancy (Crosby) Silva and her companion Wayne Smith of Beverly and Thomas and his wife Sue Silva of Florida; his maternal great grandmother Lucy Marengi of Salem; and his aunt Samantha and uncle and Jody Trunfio of Salem, Aunt Lee Ann and Uncle Bob Dupuis of Danvers, Aunt Kimberly Silva of Beverly, and uncle Thomas Silva of Burlington; along with several cousins.
His funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 4:00 PM in St. James Church, 156 Federal St, Salem. Family, friends and all who loved Mason are respectfully invited to attend.
