Obituary: 'Betsy' (Rodgers) Magee, Lifelong Marbleheader

Mrs. Elizabeth M. "Betsy" (Rodgers) Magee, age 76, died on Monday, April 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness. A lifelong Marbleheader, she was born on March 7, 1938 to Clemmons M. and Ida Josephine (Roster) Rodgers. She graduated from Marblehead High School, Class of 1956.

Betsy is survived by son, James H. (Jeannie) Magee of Stow, ME; daughter, Mary-Jo and son-in-law-to-be Brian S. Handley of Sutton, MA; daughter, Linda M. (Brett) Danyluk of Salem, MA; grandchildren, Bonnie E. Magee, James A. Carlise, and Linda M. Carlise; and brothers, James E. and David C. (Anne) Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl V. Magee, brother Blair E. Rodgers, and sister-in-law Rita L. Rodgers.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Saturday, May 3 at 10:00AM. Burial will immediately follow at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
