Clara Louise (Milligan) Carey, 90, of Marblehead, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2014. She was the wife of the late Kenneth F. Carey with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Clara (Stacey) Milligan.

Raised and educated in Marblehead, she was a graduate of Marblehead High School, class of 1942. She worked for the General Electric Company in Lynn for many years before starting her family. Louise was also a longtime and beloved crossing guard at the Gerry and Coffin schools in Marblehead where she became endeared to many students and their families over the years.

She was a member of the Mothers of Twins Club in Marblehead and the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her later years, she was one of the "Dunkin Girls" at Village Plaza where she enjoyed socializing with her friends each Saturday. Many of these lifelong friendships are a testament to her kindness and generosity. Louise and her husband were recognized and are fondly remembered by so many as they were commonly seen walking together throughout town.
