Hearing Aids are not what they used to be!

My colleagues encourage me to write about the technological changes that have occurred in hearing aid design and function. Audiologists, and I am one of them, like to promote the huge advances in sound quality. Hearing aids have become incredibly miniaturized. There is more computing power in today’s hearing aids than what was used to send man to the moon in 1969. Hearing aids now pair with blue tooth cell phones and blue tooth landline phones so talking on the phone is no longer a problem.

Hearing aids now come in fashion colors so the wearer can make a statement. Some of the colors are red, blue, yellow, dark grey, light grey, pink, chocolate brown, and black. Or, the hearing aids can blend with the color of the wearer’s hair so they become “invisible” to others. Some people decide on different colors so the right hearing aid is a different color than the left hearing aid.
People who are hearing impaired and realize the importance of hearing sometimes want to show off their hearing aids. Being able to hear and be connected to the world around them is important to really living. A young lady named Hayleigh Scott is a person who enjoys showing off her hearing aids. In fact, she emphasizes that she wears aids. She is hearing impaired and has worn hearing aids since she was young. At age 5 she began drawing embellishments for her hearing aids. But, it wasn’t until she was 8 years old that her mother understood what she wanted to do. Hayleigh was designing charms for her hearing aids. She wanted to wear items to make her hearing aids shine. Now the family is involved making and selling these items for hearing aids.

Her website is http://www.hayleighscherishedcharms.com/. You can purchase one -of -a -kind items that are made by her and her sisters. She has necklace and charm sets for hearing aids. Her collection includes seasonal items. She has items for boys and tomboys. These items are cars, sports items, and dragons. Her range of available embellishments is impressive.
Another place to purchase Hayleigh’s items is at http://www.soundbytes.com. This website sells other items that might be wanted by hearing impaired individuals. This company sells items for every help such as telephones for the hard of hearing, alarm clocks and headphones.
