You've Been 'Flamingoed"

A flock of pink flamingos winged its way into town over the weekend, causing quite a stir for sleepy Clifton Heights residents Sunday morning.

The flock, dressed with chicks as well as adults, parked itself on the neighborhood green and appeared unruffled by passersby as well as auto traffic.

(Unknown to most pink flamingo admirers, baby flamingos hatch fully feathered and eager to join their parents showing off their colorful plumage.)

Several of the flamingos made their way into the front yard of Ms. Priscilla Burnaby, who discovered their presence along with a note pinned to her front door announcing, “You’ve been flamingoed!”

The "flamingoing project" is the brainchild of the youth group of , who are raising funds to go to New Orleans to help rebuild homes.

The pink standers will reportedly land on Mugford Street soon.
