What to Know About Marblehead and Swampscott Thanksgiving Football
The fun starts 10 a.m. Thursday
What will be new when Marblehead varsity football resumes its longstanding rivalry against Swampscott Thursday at MHS Piper Field at 10 a.m.?
They will be playing on artifical turf. The teams have been battling on Thanksgiving for more than a century but up until now the battle has been on grass.
It's the last game of the season for both teams and will decide who has bragging rights until the next time they cross paths.
Swampscott won the last Thanksgiving meeting, but Marblehead (8-2) won the game against the Big Blue earlier this year defeating Swampscott (4-6) 35-7.
Thanksgiving Day Football Tickets will be on sale in the MHS Athletic Office for a few more hours
