Halloween Pumpkin-Decorating Returns to Marblehead Museum

Five noteworthies for today.

1. Pumpkin Notes:

The popular Pumpkin Decorating Workshops offered annually at the Marblehead Museum are back!
Despite reports warning of pumpkin shortages, the Marblehead Museum has secured enough pumpkins for 25 children per session on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The event takes place at 170 Washington St. in Marblehead from  1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for ages 2-5, who must be accompanied by an adult and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 5-10.
The cost is $10 per child, or $15 per family. Included are a pumpkin, decorating supplies, pumpkin stories and a snack. Space is limited, so reservations and pre- payment are required. Please call 781-631-1768 to reserve and pay by credit card, or stop by the Marblehead Museum at 170 Washington Street.

2. Vet Notes:

From Jodi Kalapinski:

Please Help!
Marines and Sailors deployed with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit left a few weeks ago and will be deployed this holiday season and into next year.
A Marine Mom has been given over 100 names of Marines/Sailors who are NOT receiving care packages from home. This list was provided by senior officers. I'm trying to help find people who will either,

1) Sponsor the postage to send a Christmas care package to one or more of our brave Marines/Sailors.
OR
2) Adopt one or more of our brave Marines/Sailors to send care packages, cards, letters , love and support . They need to know they have NOT been forgotten back home, especially during the holiday season. When you agree to adopt it is for the duration of their deployment.
Thank you !
