3-D Printer Designs Robohand for Marblehead Boy

Leon McCarthy and his dad, Paul, recently told CBS News how they made a left hand for Leon using a 3-D printer.

In an interview with National Public Radio in June, Marblehead's Paul McCarthy and his son, Leon, described how Leon got a new left hand.

The story follows their discovery of the technology that made this possible and what it has done for Leon.

"I'm able to hold a pencil and piece of paper," Leon told NPR. "I've done a lot more than I ever thought I could, so it's opened up a lot of new doors in my life."
