Safely finding Childcare

The Internet has added the element of accessibility to multiple groups of people right from our own homes, offices, tablets and smart phones. We can simply log on and post a profile to find a job or a nanny.I speak to parents who have hired nannies on their own everyday. patents get a photo ID! Also, are you obtaining a full employment, academic and address history on these applicants? Do you know what you are and are not getting from the background check you have paid for? People take for granted that a background check is thorough and that baby-sitting references and not even in sequence with dates and consistency are thorough and sufficient.   Here are some not so small tips!
1. Don't meet without a resume with a photo ID and at least 5 references.
2. Don't only check Childcare references if they have had other jobs.
3. Do tell them you will be doing a background check independent of the website you found them on.
4. Do obtain their full name, date of birth, current and former addresses, former last names, drivers license number and social security number
