St. Michael's Heart of Christmas Fair, Dec. 7

Warm your body and soul at St. Michael’s Heart of Christmas Fair held Saturday, December 7th in the heart of Old Town during the Marblehead Christmas Walk.  There will be lots of fine crafts, collectibles and bargains for holiday shopping plus hot food and beverages.  Many items are priced perfectly for children shopping.  This year we will again have “chili in a bag” served on the Washington St. lawn during the Christmas Walk parade. Plus by popular request, a limited number of St. Michael’s Heavenly Lobster Rolls will be served inside. Come early to get this treat and come early for the best choice of goods!

The Rich Uncle’s Table of Antiques and Collectibles is filling up with paintings and framed prints, china, crystal, ornaments, an antique candle table, chairs and more. The best will be available through silent auction closing at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Craft Table features handmade items including flower pins, handmade clothing for 18” dolls, Christmas ornaments and baby items.  The Jewelry Table is favorite for all with treasures for giving and wearing – perfect gifts for mothers or grandmothers. St. Michael’s famous chutney, Doris Bartlett’s “Bide A Wee” oatmeal bread, and a wide range of other items await at the Baked Table, to take home or eat right away.

The Fair opens at 9 AM for shopping and food. Christmas Walkers can grab “chili in a bag” from the tent on the lawn and come in from the cold for more lunch choices--homemade hot cocoa, clam chowder, lobster rolls, hot dogs, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Hot beverages and baked good sales begin at 9 AM; lunch items at 11 AM - 2 PM. The Silent Auction closes at 1:30 PM.

St. Michael's Thrift Shop will also be open with extended hours Saturday, Dec. 7th from 9 AM to 4 PM and Sunday, noon to 4 PM.  The Thrift Shop has gently used clothes, housewares and seasonal decorations.
