Screening of Short Films at Abbot Public Library Thursday

A special screening of short films by students from Raw Art Works' Real to Reel Filmschool will be presented on Thursday, May 1st, at 7:00 pm, at the Abbot Public Library, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Marblehead Task Force Against Discrimination (TFAD).

The event is a triple-collaboration of Raw Art Works in Lynn, TFAD, and the Abbot Public Library, in Marblehead. One of the films in the May 1st program will be "Make It Out," recently featured in a WBUR segment. All of the films being shown are heartfelt and powerful refelctions of the realities of their makers' lives.

Following the screening, there will be a moderated discussion and Q&A session with representatices of Raw Art Works, including some of the filmmakers, and representatives from TFAD.

PLEASE NOTE: the Library is normally closed on Thursday nights, but will be open Thursday evening, May 1st, only for the film screening.
