Dave Roper, author of the Boston Globe bestseller Watching for Mermaids will be at the Boston Yacht Club on Thursday evening, Sept. 26 starting at 7 p.m., with the reading beginning at 7:30 p.m. Dave plans on ‘keeping it local’ and will read from his popular stories like 'Seaduction', about his fal...l from innocence as an 18 year-old BYC launch driver in the 1960s. Another local favorite is 'Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed' which was a case of mistaken identity in one of the big homes on Marblehead Neck. He will also include an advanced reading of 'Labor Day Magic' (to be published next month in Points East), about life on Baker’s Island.
