Prouty Band at Marblehead Recreation and Parks Playground Program for a
Rock and Roll Clinic and Beach Concert on Tuesday, August 6th
Female-fronted rock band that plays all over New England On Tuesday, August 6th, the Jessica Prouty Band will be hosting a "Day in
the Life of a Rockstar" during Week 6 of the Marblehead Parks and
Recreation Summer Program and doing a concert on the Devereux Beach at
5:30 pm that is free and open to the public.
“I have seen this band
perform on a number of occasions, they are top notch and great role
models for today’s youth. We are extremely excited to have them perform
and talk to our kids.” Said Jim Sullivan, Recreation Supervisor for the
Town of Marblehead.
Three
members of the Jessica Prouty Band currently attend or attended Berklee
College of Music in Boston. They will be joined on Tuesday by Seth
Rosenbloom, distinguished guitarist, who has also taught on the
world-famous Guitar Summit. The band will also be playing Topsfield Fair
on Saturday October 6th at 8 pm on the Trianon Stage.
Jessica Prouty graduated from Marblehead High School and was in theater
productions and Chorus while she was there. Rain date for the beach
concert is Wednesday, August 7th. The
band released their new single, Set Me Free, in March and they debuted
it at the New England Music Awards. It is available to listen to for

The
Jessica Prouty Band may be on the younger end of the spectrum but
that's no reason not to take them seriously. Prouty herself is setting a
fantastic example for other local females who wish to take up music.

Band, Set Me Free, that is actually a brand spanking new song from the
JPB. Had the pleasure of seeing them perform last night at the NE Music
Awards and everybody at the table was going "Wow." They're teenagers.
They are young talented individuals, and I've had the pleasure of seeing
Jessica perform a few times now. And it's one thing to own the stage
when you get up on stage to perform, it is another thing to own the
stage, the audience and every molecule of oxygen in a venue once you
start performing, and Jessica commands that when she gets onstage. She
is one of the best performers and to think that she is still in her
teens is mind-boggling to me.
This

Council, a state agency, and hosted by the Marblehead Recreation &
Parks Department.
