Greenbelt: Essex County's Land Trust Hosts Film Screening - "Mother Natures Child: Growing Outdoors in the Media Age"

On Thursday March 20th, Essex County Greenbelt is hosting a film screening of the documentary Mother Natures Child: Growing Outdoors in the Media Age. The screening will take place at 7:30pm at Gloucester’s Cape Ann Cinema. A short facilitated discussion will follow the film.

Why do children need unstructured time outside? Mother Nature’s Child explores this question and others as it addresses the nature’s role in a child’s development from toddler to teen years. The film makes a strong case for raising children to be more connected to nature, here in Essex County and beyond.

Essex County Greenbelt, the region's land trust, has conserved thousands of acres of land open for public enjoyment. "Our properties and programs provide countless opportunities for families to get outside, have fun, and explore the wonders of the natural world," said Greenbelt Executive Director Ed Becker.
