Virtual Learning to Shoot in Manual Photography Basics

Course Description: If you want to know how to use that DSLR you have had on your shelf since your last birthday, this is what you want. If you want 4 weeks of learning at your own pace, this is what you want. Color, composition and the basics of how to see the world around you in a creative way …again, if that is what you want to learn… sign up! Sign up NOW! Auto is evil.. We want to get you OUT of Auto and into manual or the priority settings.


Topics: Shutter speed, ISO, aperture, focal points, white balance, histogram and Composition, composition, composition.


Equipment Needed: A camera that gives you the manual mode. If you do NOT have a DSLR, some of the more developed (get it?) point and shoots usually have this option. A VERY basic photo upload application. Further classes will deal with applications and editing.

Syllabus: All class participation will be on a private site. On the day of the first week (Always a Monday) a lesson plan will be posted to the site. If you run into issues, I am available to assist.
Images in the assignment will be posted to the blog and critiqued with suggestions and was to better your already wonderful work!
The best part of the class is, If you are Eastern, Pacific, Mountain or EVEN Tahiti time you are on time.
