Learning to Shoot in Manual


Course Description: If you want to know how to use that DSLR you have had on your shelf since your last birthday, this is what you want. If you want 4 weeks of learning at your own pace, this is what you want. Equipment Needed: A camera that gives you the manual mode. If you do NOT have a DSLR, some of the more developed (get it?) point and shoots usually have this option. A VERY basic photo upload application. Further classes will deal with applications and editing.

Workflow with Lightroom® and Photoshop®


Course Description: If you NOW want to start to organize and get your images together in an efficient, non-destructive workflow, then THIS is the class for you. This is a 4 week intensive workshop in understanding file types, working in PS RAW and Lightroom..


Topics: Setting up LR database and catalogs, Lightroom basics, Photoshop RAW editing basics, Output.


Equipment Needed: A camera that allows shooting to RAW. And if you still do not have this option, you will want to get your hands on a set of RAW files (preferably 20 or more). A computer. Lightroom v.3 or 4, Photoshop Version 4 or later.


Class Registration: Class limited to 10. Registration from October 15 - October 30 (November Class), Nov 15 - November 30 (December Class)
