Firefighters responded to a fire at 3 Cradleskid Lane Wednesday morning shortly before noon.
The fire was restricted to a corner wall inside Fraser Custom Welding and Marine Fabrication, and appeared to have traveled along up a vent, said owner Mike Fraser.
The damage was minimal and the business remains open.
Cradleskid is near Beacon Street.
