Value of Property Zooming: Although real estate prices in Marblehead in the past year have already exceeded by $1.5 million the assessments fixed in last year's revaluation study, this does not mean that values set in the 1968 report are already obsolete, members of the Board of Selectmen were told by members of the Board of Assessors.

The statement was made during a discussion of the need for a fulltime paid assessor to keep the valuation survey up to date.

Old Town Changes Reviewed: An official look at some of the many physical changes taking place in the business district of Marblehead will be taken at a public hearing called by the Historic District Commission at Abbot Hall Monday, January 27 at 8 p.m. 

Hosts with The Most: The Marblehead YMCA swim team invited swimmers from all over New England to take part in their AAU meet at the local pool on Saturday. Marblehead then proceeded to break all the records themselves. 

Horse Sense — and the Six-Cylander Mustang: An advertisement for the Ford car had a father saying his son the car expert recommended the lively six-cylander mustang. It has good power to weight ratio and is big on performance and low on cost.
