Among their more shocking scams was setting up a fake company using an identity stolen from a young Marblehead man who drowned in the harbor in the 1980s.

Prosecutors say Fields and Latorella used several schemes to artificially inflate reported revenues at their company, Beverly-based LocatePlus Holdings Corp., starting in about 2002.
