Marbleheaders to Brave the Polar Plunge in Gloucester This Saturday

The Marblehead Rotary Club will be raising money that will go directly to immunization of the polio virus in developing countries.

The Marblehead Rotary Club will be represented by two of their members in the 3rd Annual Rotary International Polar Plunge for Polio on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Club President Chuck Bachner and rotarian Zach Newell will be taking the plunge in Gloucester this coming weekend in hopes of raising money for polio immunization in developing countries, according to Marblehead Rotary Club Board of Directors member Tanya DeGenova.

The importance of keeping children from contracting polio is paramount in this effort and the two Marblehead rotarians are hoping their pledges can help do that.
