Marblehead Power Still Flowing

As of 10 p.m. Friday National Grid was reporting no power outages in Marblehead. But Neck resident says they lost power intermittently.

 

Marblehead homes had light and heat late Friday night — unlike almost 200,000 other homes and businesses in the Bay State.

The blizzard's snow and wind had yet to stem the flow of electricity as of 10 p.m. in Marblehead, according to National Grid.

But we learned this morning from a Marblehead Neck resident that neighbors did lose power last evening at around 8pm; it resumed by 10 and then they lost it again for a few more hours, the reader wrote.

In neighboring Swampscott 23 homes were without power as of 10 p.m.

And statewide, 190,000 customers were without power as of 10:15 p.m., according to WCVB- Channel 5.

As of 10:30 p.m. snow totals were approaching a foot in parts of the state with 18-24 inches being predicted for Marblehead.
