Five Things to Know: Nominate a Red Cross Community Hero

1. Weather Watch: It should be a pleasant winter day. The National Weather Service is predicting it to be increasingly cloudy, with a high near 40. Tonight should be cloudy, with a low around 34. (sunrise, 7:12 a.m.; high tide, 10:11 a.m.; sunset, 4:31 p.m.; low tide, 4:33 p.m.)

2. Guide Dogs. And Pizza.: Interested in guide dogs? Like pizza? Then you should be at the Unitarian Universalist Church tonight at 6:30 p.m. for a presentation that includes both.

3. Magicians in Action: Boys basketball is home against Beverly High this afternoon and evening. The varsity tips off in Big Blue's gym at 7 p.m., preceded by the JV at 5:30 p.m. and the freshman squad at 4 p.m.

4. Nominate a Community Hero: The Northeast Massachusetts chapter of the Red Cross is looking for nominations for its annual Community Heroes Awards. The awards are presented in six categories during the annual Community Heroes Breakfast, which will be held March 21 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Danvers.
