Robert Booth On The War Of 1812

The room is full upstairs at the Marblehead Museum and Historical Society for a night of history.

It's Thursday and speaker and author Robert Booth is talking about where Marblehead and New England and the rest of America stood on war with Britain in 1812.

New England states opposed the war but Marbleheaders supported it. The town was down at the heels and had little to lose.

They were strange times, Robert Booth said
