5 Things (And a Sandy Benefit) Dec. 11

Today is Tuesday, Dec. 11, and here are the five things you need to know:

1. Aside from a few passing showers, it should be a pleasant day in Marblehead. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect showers before 8 a.m. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Tonight is mostly clear, with a low around 28. (sunrise, 7:03 a.m.; high tide, 8:35 a.m.; low tide, 3:01 p.m.; sunset, 4:10 p.m.)

3. The Old Town House Committee will meet this afternoon in the Town Administrator's Office at Abbot Hall. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., according to the posted agenda.
