Orange Leaf and Customers Raise $30,000 for Boston Children's Hospital

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt announced that it has raised $30,000 to support Boston Children’s Hospital through contributions made by customers, franchises and the company’s corporate office. All money raised benefits the Children’s Fund, which supports the hospital’s greatest areas of need in care, research, medical training and community health.

Orange Leaf recently held a month-long fundraising initiative at all its Massachusetts locations that invited customers to make contributions to Boston Children’s Hospital. Along with encouraging in-store donations, customers were able to purchase a special edition Orange Leaf t-shirt with all proceeds going to the hospital. Orange Leaf also supported Boston Children’s Hospital with a series of blood drives at locations throughout Massachusetts.

In 2012, Orange Leaf locations in Massachusetts made a $25,000 commitment to Boston Children’s Hospital. That commitment was exceeded by $5,000 thanks to contributions from Orange Leaf customers, franchises and corporate office. Seventeen Massachusetts-based Orange Leaf franchises contributed to raising the $30,000 total.

“Boston Children’s Hospital is grateful for this generous contribution from Orange Leaf,” said Charles Savicki, Associate Director, Corporate Initiatives for Boston Children’s Hospital. “Orange Leaf is a tremendous partner of Boston Children’s and a business that emphasizes doing good in the community. Because this donation is going to the Children’s Fund, it will directly impact the hospital’s areas of the highest need and we thank Orange Leaf for their continued support.”
