Yannalfo's Ristorante Granted Extended Hours

The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved extending the hours at Yannalfo's Restaurant on Washington Street Wednesday night.

, a new Italian restaurant expected to open on Washington Street sometime next month, now has permission to stay open until midnight.

At their meeting at Wednesday night, the Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a request from owner Brett Yannalfo to extend the restaurant's operating hours to 12 a.m.

"I am planning on having appetizers and desserts from 10 to midnight on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so that people will have a quiet, non-bar place to end their night," Yannalfo said in a letter.

After a brief discussion, board members unanimously approved Yannalfo's request and reset the hours governing the restaurant's common victualler's and all alcoholic beverage licenses.

Yannalfo's Ristorante will now be open Sunday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

A prospective menu provided by Yannalfo earlier this summer included:

Appetizers: Caprese Salad, Shrimp Scampi, Stuffed Mushrooms, Lobster Crostini, Eggplant Rollatini, Italian Antipasto and Bruschetta.

Chicken: Chicken Pariggiana, Chicken Ziti & Broccolini, Chicken Caprese, Chicken Yannalfo (lightly breaded chicken cutlet topped with crab and lobster meat stuffing topped wih a Newburg sauce), Chicken & Vegetables and Chicken Marsala.

Veal: Veal Parmiggiana, Veal Manhattan, Veal & Vegetables, Veal Marsala, Veal Florentine, Veal Milanese.

Seafood: Frutta Di Mare, Shrimp Primavera, Papardelle alla Yannalfo, Seafood Cioppino, Lobster Tails fra Diavolo and Crusted Baked Haddock.

Pasta: Papardelle alla Carbonara, Pasta Milano, Pasta Primavera, Pasta and Meatballs, Lobster Ravioli, Wild Mushroom Raviolo and Pasta alla Michael.
