Spring Home and Garden Show This Weekend

Spring will bloom this weekend at Marblehead High School.

Spring will bloom this weekend at Marblehead High School when the Annual Spring Home and Garden Show opens.

In its 14th year, the show has attracted dozens of home design and gardening specialist who will be on hand to share tips and trick for getting your property ready for spring. NECN's Jenny Johnson will be a guest presenter. The theme of the show is:"Your Home is your Greatest Asset. Invest in it."

Take a walk through this weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday or 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday and get live demos of products, enter raffles and get ideas for your garden.

This year's show will once again afford attendees opportunities to meet one on one with home and garden related vendors to discuss home improvement/enhancement needs in the areas of: Location & Finance, Planning & Design, Exterior Considerations, Materials & Products, and Special Home & Garden Needs. 

This weekend-long event also includes a silent auction, family entertainment and activities, and presentations. Admission is $2, seniors and kids are free

Weekend Schedule

Performances and presentations on Saturday, March 19

Performances will be held in the High School Auditorium and can be accessed directly from the Showroom.

1 p.m. - Marblehead native Jenny Johnson, NECN, will be featuring highlights from New England Dream House.

Jenny Johnson has been the executive producer of NECN's restaurant show, TV Diner, since 2007, and is the star of the TV Diner segment, The Jenny Cam. She is also NECN's Culture and Lifestyle Reporter. Raised in Marblehead, Jenny graduated with honors from the University of New Hampshire where she majored in communications. She spent a semester in Florence, Italy, where she studied interior design and art history.

 2 p.m. The Boston Ballet School presents Ballet Story Hour, featuring A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Join Boston Ballet and hear Children’s Faculty member Jennifer Scott read the story of a Midsummer Night’s Dream, which will be followed by viewing real ballet costumes and learning a dance from the ballet. All participants receive a Boston Ballet goody bag.

 Kids' Activities

Face painting, temporary tattoos, and balloon twisting throughout the weekend. 

"Kids Plant their Own Flowers" will be sponsored by Camden Painting.
