Minos Roast Beef: Lek's On The Go

Minos Roast Beef started delivery service on Monday, taking their entire menu to Marblehead and parts of Salem and Swampscott.

Minos Roast Beef rolled out its new delivery service Monday, taking sandwiches, pizza, shish-ke-bobs, salads and more to customers' homes.

Delivery is free to Marblehead, a minimum $12 order, said owner Lek "Alex" Noci.

Lek's travel team will trek to Salem as far as Salem State and to Swampscott as far as the train station — and charge $1 for the delivery.

Minos has been around since 1971 but Lek, who has owned the 27 Atlantic Avenue establishment since July, wanted a new idea.

He wanted to counter the traffic congestion his customers face given the drainage construction project downtown.

So his extensive menu of wraps, subs, dinners, pizza, shish-ke-bobs, the whole menue, is available for delivery.

You buy and he'll fly from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Lek's the new owner but he's not new to Marblehead. Originally from Albania, he worked at Minos in the 90s.

He also owned a pizza business in Haverhill for a couple years.

Now he's back in the Marblehead and says roast beef is still king of the menu.

He was voted #1 in Essex County by a group of college kids who held a July 3, Essex County Roast Beef Invitational competition.
