Junji Fine Japanese Cuisine opened for business in Marblehead Friday.

The restaurant, located at 114 Pleasant St., will be open this weekend from 5 to 10:30 p.m. and is operated by Master chef Junji Aoki.

The menu will include Japanese fare, among the specialities — sushi and tempura.

The wine and beer license was transferred from Joey D's Italian Grille, the former restaurant at the location. The address was the longtime home of Hooked, before Joey D moved in.

Junji Aoki was recently serving sushi at a popular longtime downtown Wakefield restaurant — Sushi Island — before the establishment was sold in August.

My town needs to get a good Japanese restaurant. All we have are Mexican restaurants. And a few bistros. I would like the change of a nice oriental food. I think it would do well in my small town. Alena | http://www.sushiclinton.com/
