Casa Corona Awarded Liquor License

The Board of Selectmen recently awarded a full liquor license to Marblehead's Casa Corona restaurant.

For the owners of Casa Corona, the road to a full liquor license was a long one.

At a meeting at Abbot Hall earlier this month, the Marblehead Board of Selectmen unanimously approved awarding a full liquor license to the owners of the Smith Street Mexican restaurant, which opened last fall.

The restaurant is expected to begin serving alcohol sometime next month.

Unable to secure a local liquor license when they first opened, owners Felix and Jose Bracamontes applied for and eventually received the town's first ever BYOB liquor license.
