A New Day For 34 Atlantic Ave. With Property Demo

Preparation for demolitioning the former Fruit of the Four Seasons building at 34 Atlantic Ave began Thursday when crews removed its windows.

The Fruit of the Four Seasons has been standing since 1969 but will come down the middle of next week, said Estaban Lake Acosta, president of the company doing the demo, Unlimited Removal & Demolition of Lynn.

And by late next week the lot will be vacant, swept clean of debris, he said.

It was little more than a year ago that 34 Atlantic Avenue LLC received permission to tear down the former market and build a new 2,000-square-foot commercial space in its space.

The new building will have two separate storefronts facing Atlantic Avenue and the latest plans call for the creation of several new parking spaces along Barnard Street, according to plans released last year.

Word of the building's demolition was welcomed both online and on the street as people said the vacant building has been an eyesore.
