Patch Bargains: Black Friday

Let everyone else trample each other at Walmart! Here are some Black Friday sales that are going on right here in Marblehead and Swampscott.

1. : Scribe Paper, located in historic Marblehead, will offer extended hours Thursday and will be open all day and handing out deals on Black Friday. If you're getting ready for those Christmas cards, this may be the place to stop.

2. : Looking for the perfect toy for those kids on your list? On Black friday, from 6 to 8:30 a.m., the entire store is 25 percent off your total purchase if you pay with cash and 20 percent off all credit card purchases. This deal is good on instock, instore items only.

3. : Have a gamer on your list? Gamestop in Swampscott will be selling PS3 gaming systems with two games for $199, reduced from $250 on Black Friday. The XBox 4G, which is selling it for $150, will be knocked down from $200 on Black Friday.

4. Want to look sharp at parties this season? This store in Swampscott will be selling all Merino wool topcoats regularly priced at $450 for $99 as part of their annual doorbuster sale. The sale is available online all day on Thanksgiving and lasts until Friday at 1 p.m.

5. CVS: Looking for a fun stocking stuffer? The CVS on Atlantic Avenue will be selling a variety of Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars for 50 cents each on Black Friday.
