Authorities are investigating at the scene where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle some time after 5 pm tonight, Jan. 16.
The pedestrian, a female, was transported to the hospital for unspecified injuries, police said.
The patient was conscious after she was struck, he said.
The incident took place in the area of Spring and Sewall streets.
At 6:30 pm a section of Sewall was cordoned off with caution tape, a pick-up truck remaining within the perimeter.
Police and fire personnel were on the scene.
