Coach's Game Capsule: Marblehead 41 Lynn Classical 24

Marblehead High football coach Jim Rudloff liked what he saw in the first half of his team's 41-24 victory over Lynn Classical Thursday night.
Not the second half.
The Magicians were in complete control the two quarters.
With the exception of a couple long runs by Classical, one of which was called back due to a penalty, Marblehead stymied the Classical offense.
The Magicians' O consistently powered up the field and looked to be fresher and more prepared.
"I think we did a great job early on with staying with our blocks and running good routes," the coach said. " Matty Millett made some terrific throws and we were fortunate enough to really pull ahead. Our defense was terrific in the first half."
All that changed in the second half, the coach said, when the team got sloppy with its blocks, reads and routes.
"That sloppiness led to turnovers and mistakes that hurt us,." he said. "Our defense began to play really high, which Lynn Classical exposed with the Double tight Double wing offense. They made a nice adjustment."
The coach expects experience will make a major difference.
"We have a few players learning their positions and as they learn to trust their read and keys we will get better as a team," he said.
The coach was happy with the way Spencer Craig played on defense and said that Dylan Cressy is about as solid a player as you could have out there.
"Offensively, I think everyone did some really good things but also made some mistakes," he said.
The key, moving forward, will be to fix those mistakes and build from there.
